Mr. Hashmi, who is currently the Managing Partner of the firm, is a distinguished legal practitioner with a wealth of experience in a range of legal matters. An advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, he holds an LLB degree from the University of Westminster, London, and was subsequently called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn.

His areas of expertise encompass diverse areas such as constitutional, civil, and family law, and he has amassed a considerable clientele both within Pakistan and internationally. Through his pragmatic approach, he has established himself as a prominent legal practitioner, providing efficient and effective legal services to his clients. Over the years, he has built a reputation for his immense work ethic and acuity.

Mr. Hashmi has been a member of the legal fraternity since 1998 and has been involved in the most specialized areas of litigation in Pakistan, including constitutional, commercial, arbitration, service, procurement, international trade, and family laws. He has also been a member of counsel teams conducting historic cases that contributed to Pakistan’s jurisprudential development, and has a wide repertoire of reported judgments in the superior courts and tribunals of Pakistan.

Aside from representing the Government of Pakistan, its departments and agencies, reputed national and multi-national business concerns, banks and other financial institutions, and private individuals before different fora, Mr. Hashmi has also rendered legal opinions to clients on matters relating to legislation, litigation, commercial agreements, arbitration, and family law. He has dealt with diverse family cases, appearing before the Family and Superior Courts of Pakistan, where he has negotiated divorce settlements and agreements, conducted dissolution of marriage (khula) and divorce proceedings, and handled maintenance/alimony, property and inheritance, and child custody matters.

Mr. Hashmi has also established himself as an international legal practitioner, adeptly handling disputes abroad, particularly for overseas Pakistanis. He regularly represents private individuals located in the UK and USA and has set up a designated department comprised of a capable and efficient team to cater to his international clientele. He has also appeared in a US Court as an expert on Pakistani Family Law.

Mr. Hashmi has represented clients in a wide range of local and international arbitrations and has also conducted proceedings for the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards. Overall, his extensive experience in representing clients in arbitration make him a valuable resource for clients seeking to resolve their disputes through alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.

Besides managing his legal practice, Mr. Hashmi actively participates in various conferences and workshops to discuss prevalent legal and social issues in Pakistan. These involvements not only enhance his legal prowess but impart current awareness, knowledge, and skills to ensure his continuing legal education. As a result, he has participated in various conferences and workshops, including the Workshop on Dispute Settlement Mechanism of WTO, International Conference on UN Convention Against Corruption, ICC Pakistan Arbitration Conference, International Judicial Conference, Asma Jahangir Conference on Justice for Empowerment, and the 8th Asia Pro Bono Conference.

Mr. Hashmi is a member of several legal organizations, including Pakistan Bar Council, Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan, Punjab Bar Council, Islamabad High Court Bar Association, International Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Board of Approvals created under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2012.
